Location
Dolj and Olt counties, southern Romania.

Project Owner/s
Renewable-energy solutions provider Scatec, which will own 65% of the equity in the projects; Defic Globe will hold the remaining 35%.

Project Description
The project entails the development of two solar operations with a combined capacity of 190 MW.

The projects are supported by a 15-year contract-for-defence with Opcom, the Romanian electricity market operator, covering about 70% of the estimated production. The remaining production will be sold in the Romanian wholesale electricity market.

€121-million, which will be financed using nonrecourse project debt and equity, with a leverage of about 70%.

Planned Start/End Date
The project reached financial close in February 2026. Commercial operation is expected in the second half of 2027.
